Legacy Project, 2020-2021
From Fall 2020 to late summer 2021 I took part in the Legacy Project, an initiative put forth by the Cape Breton Partnership focused on cultural growth and employing artists during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Myself and five other artists were to make work inspired by or relating to the pandemic. I created this series of dolls, exploring the emotional experiences of individuals during their mandated self-isolation. The testimonials inspiring these pieces were submitted anonymously though an online survey.
